SHC: Round 2 of the senior championship takes place on Sunday evening next at 7 in Toomevara where Portroe will provide the opposition.

JAHL: Our junior A team are due out in league action this coming weekend against Roscrea. Check North Board fixtures for more details.

JBHL: The junior B league resumes this weekend when we take on Borrisokane in Round 2 of the league. This game is due to take place on Saturday in Borrisokane. Check North Board fixtures for more details.

MAFC: Our minor footballers had another championship win last Thursday evening following a comprehensive win over Inane Rovers played in Nenagh. Final score was 4-11 to 1-7.

County Board Draw: The 2011-2012 County Draw has just been launched. There is over €500k in prize money this year with 2 Star prizes on offer in addition to 2 cars and many other prizes each month. This draw has been a vital source of generating revenue for over twenty years and is a major fundraiser for us with 50% of all monies coming directly to the club. We would like to thank all the club promoters who do such sterling work each year promoting the draw and they will be canvassing to enlist the support of existing members and new subscribers in the next few weeks.

Under 8s are training every Tuesday evening from 5.30 to 6.30 pm. Matches for the U8s will be organized in the coming weeks

U10s played a challenge match against Toomevara last Wednesday. There were fine displays of skill from both sides. We would like to thank Toomevara for the game. Training times are Tuesday and Friday evenings from 5.30 to 6.30

U12s played a challenge game against Riverstown last Saturday and again there was fine displays of skill form both sides who are progressing well under their respective coaches.

U14s were in action against A side Toomevara last Thursday in preparation for their upcoming championship game. Nenagh came a way with a fine win which justifies their dedication to their training over the last few months.

Congratulations to Alanna Morris and Aileen Duggan who were part of the Tipperary u16 team that drew the All Ireland Semi Final last Saturday the replay will take place next Saturday with Kilkenny awaiting the winners in the final.

U18s played a challenge game against Ballyea Of Clare last Tuesday. It was their first game together this year and they won well with RoisÍn O Brien giving a spirited performance. Thanks to Ballyea for the tough game and thanks to Enda Costello for providing the after match buffet. A special thanks to Tommy Ryan for giving up his spare time to Referee the game. Hard luck to the Tipperary u18 team that went out of the championship with a defeat against a fine Clare team. Cíara McGrath had a superb game at full forward scoring a goal for her efforts.

Junior B team created a little bit of history by winning their first championship game last Friday. They travelled to Knockshgowna with a very young team and short of some of their starting line up but with great heart and spirit. It was a tough and physical game which the girls met head on and won the game by 5 points.
