Co SHL: We beat Moneygall in round one of the county league last Thursday afternoon. Final score was Eire Og 2.22 Moneygall 1.10. On Sunday last we were beaten by Templederry in round two. Final score was Eire Og 0.20 Templderry 1.23. Check club website for match reports. This weekend we play Killenaule in out third group game. Check county board fixtures for more details.

U21B: Our U21 B team made a winning start to the championship with a four point win over Ballina last weekend. Final score was Eire Og 2.10 Ballina 2.06.

Scor na Paisti: Well done to all our contestants who participated in the North final last weekend and especially to those that qualified for the county final: Solo Singing-  Eva McKeogh and Ballad group – Sinead Long, Maire Long, Sarah Kennedy, Susan O’Hara, Orlaith Kennedy.

Membership: Membership is now due and can be paid to any club officer.
Membership can also be paid online by logging onto www.nenagheireog.com. Membership fees for 2011 are Adult €25, Under 18 as at 1st Jan €25. There are also two types of family membership available this year – Family membership A (1 Adult + multiple u18’s as at 1st Jan) €60 and  Family membership B (2 Adult + multiple u18’s asat 1st Jan) €85. All players, managers and team mentors must be fully paid up club members.

Summercamp: Our annual summercamp is scheduled for  the week of 18th to 22nd July.

Training: Hurling training for U6, U8 and U10s take place on Wednesdays at 5pm and Saturdays at 10am, all new players welcome.
U16: We play our second game in the football championship this weekend against Ballina in Ballina, see fixtures.
U14: Our U14 footballers play the Peil competition this weekend in Cloughjordan, see fixtures.

Juvenile Registration night: Wednesday March 30th from 5.30 to 7.30, details will be given at training. We will have a limited supply of medium size helmets for sale on the night at €40 and we will also sell hurleys on the night at a reduced cost.
Schools Blitz: Thanks to Robbie Ryan and Sean Brennan who ran an indoor hurling blitz recently for St Mary’s Boys National School, over 100 boys participated on the day with all getting a medal. Many thanks also to the staff of the school for their co-operation.
Parish League: We will run a Parish hurling league for 10 to 12 year olds during April, players will be informed at training.

Camogie News: On Saturday last Ciara McGrath made history by becoming the first player from the Nenagh Eire Og camogie club and the first Nenagh camogie player in over fifty years to play senior camogie for Tipperary when she came on as a second half substitute in the National Camogie League against Dublin in Rathcoole. This is another fantastic milestone in the short history of our camogie club and in the glittering career of a wonderful young player. To top this achievement Ciara then went on to score a great point.
