Camogie notes
Nenagh Eire Og Camogie club played their first ever minor game last Sunday morning at McDonagh park in Nenagh. It is just another step along the way for a club moving up the ladder of experience. The opponents were Shannon Rovers who are a well established club. It was a game that was full of delightful skill and courage from both teams. Nenagh had to make do with the 15 players that turned up and by God did they play out of their skin led as usual by the Irrepressible Ciara McGrath at centre back ably assisted by Mary Dillon Dillon at full back Aileen Duggan at mid field and Danielle Harrington at Centre Forward. Nenagh competed well in all parts of the field and led 2-3 to 1-0 at half time. The second half again saw a huge battle between two committed teams but in the end Nenagh ran out winners 3-7 to 1-1. Nenagh forwards Julie Mulqueen Jessica Maher and Aileen Duggan were also denied goals with great saves from the Shannon Rovers goalkeeper.
