SH: Seamus O Riain – Last Monday night in Semple Stadium, we had a comprehensive 4-19 to 0-4 victory over Lorrha to advance to the semi final of the competition. On Sunday evening last, we defeated Templederry in the semi final by 0-24 to 1-06. This win puts us into the 2nd round of the county championship where we play the winners of Mullinahone or Drom Inch in Thurles next Monday night .

MAHC: Our minor hurlers contested the county final against Thurles Sarsfields last Saturday in Dolla. Unfortunately we were beaten by a stronger team on the day. Final score was Eire Og 2-12 Thurles Sarsfields 0-27. Check website for match report. A big thank you to all the management and players for their efforts throughout the year and giving us great entertainment with the North final been the highlight.

JCHC: Our junior C team are through to the semi final of the championship with one group game remaining. This game against Burgess is due to take place this Saturday at 4pm in Kilcoleman.

U14: We captured the U14 A County title for the 7th time and in the process retained our title in a heartstopping final against Durlas Og in Templederry on Friday last. This was a titanic struggle against a skilful and powerful Durlas Og team in which the lead changed hands several times. Durlas Og led 1-5 to 0-6 at the interval but we started the second half well and were 1-7 to 1-6 up after 6 mins.  Durlas Og were in the ascendancy for the next 10 mins and were up 2-9 to 1-7 with 9 mins left. The boys showed huge fighting spirit and finished very strongly to score 3-3 in the remainder of the match to run out deserving winners against  a Durlas Og team that were most gracious in defeat. Huge credit is due to Team mentors Robbie Ryan, Eamon O’Brien, John Manley and Christy McLoughlin, many thanks also to Noreen Ryan for her help on the day. Thanks  to Martin Morris and his staff for the team meal after the game.

U12: We defeated Kildangan by 11-7 to 2-4 in the plate competition thus achieving our 4th successive win in the competition and qualifying for the final. We played Toomevara in our remaining group match on Monday of this week. The plate final is likely to be this weekend, see fixtures.
