Senior Hurling: Well done to our Senior Hurlers, who are in to the North Senior Hurling Semi-Finals, after beating Roscrea on a scoreline of 0-20 to 2-11. We will next play one of Templederry, Borrisoleigh or Kiladangan, with the draw not yet having taken place.
The Blues 10K & 5K Fun Run/Walk will return to the streets of Nenagh on Sunday, July 16th (10.30am). Entry to the 10K run is priced at €15, entry to the 5K run is priced at €10 and entry to the 5K for walkers is priced at €10 per family. Prizes: €75 for the first-placed male and female competitor in the 10K, €50 for the second-placed male and female and €25 for the third-placed male and female competitors. Under 6: The under 6's were out Saturday in their first blitz of the year. We hosted Newport, Ballina, Kilruane MacDonaghs. Each club had over 30 players. Each club had 5 teams and all the children got two hurling matches and a football match. There was a parade in front of the stand before the game. The parents provided refreshments for our visitors after the game. There was great fun and enjoyment had by young and old during the morning. Training continues Wednesday at 5.15pm. We are going to Toomevara this Saturday 17th for another blitz. New players always welcome.
Under 12: U12Ds suffered a defeat at the hands of Borrisoleigh, and the U12As also lost out to Borrisoleigh in a very entertaining game by a goal with the last puck of the game. A speedy recovery to Cian Carmody who picked up a hand injury in a recent match. Training as usual this week.
Under 14: U14 hurlers were beaten by 3 pts by Kiladangan in our C'ship opener in Nenagh last Wednesday. Encouraging performance from our boys with plenty to build on. Our next C'ship match is away to Silvermines at 6.30pm on Wednesday, June 14th.
Under 16: Well done to Rory O Donovan who came a very close second in the Tipperary County U16 Poc Fada.
