The SH county championshp sees Nenagh Éire Óg face reigning county champions Thurles Sarsfields, in what will be one of the most eagerly anticipated games of the county group stage. Recent matches between the two clubs have been close fought encounters, decided by no more than the odd point.  Our North neighbours Kilruane MacDonaghs are second seeds in group 3, and with the clubs regularly meeting at various underage levels, this is another game that should draw the crowds for what has potential to be a great game of hurling. Carrick Swan make up the group, having won promotion last year from Roinn II. They will be looking to carry that momentum forward in to 2017 and will present a tough, and somewhat less familiar challenge to Éire Óg than Sars and MacDonaghs. Fixture details in relation to dates and venues will be decided at a later CCCC Meeting, and will be posted on our website and Facebook/ Twitter.

Club membership is now due. It can be paid to membership secretary Derek Lillis 086-8614863 or any other  committee member. You can also join online at www.nenagheireog.com.
