Camogie News
U8s are training on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:30. Could all girls please bring both boots and runners to training. We will have a couple more weeks of training before our end of year outing to Jumpin Gyms

U10s are training on Mondays and Thursdays 5:30 to 6:30. There was another Blitz in Kilruane last Saturday. The girls played three games against Burgess, Shannon rovers and Kilruane and everybody had an enjoyable day. Thanks to Kilruane for hosting this blitz. The season will be finishing soon but we ask everyone to stay coming training for the next few weeks.

U12s. The U/12s are training on a Monday and Thursday Evening.  The u/12 finally got to play a game last Saturday and they had a good win against Portroe. We will be hoping to have a match every week but this also depends on u/13 fixtures.

U14s.  The u/14 A County League final V Newport was played last Sunday at 10:30 in the Ragg.  In what was a fine game of camogie played between the u/14 County Champions and the U/14 All Ireland Champions, Newport came out on top.  This team has been excellent all year as this was their second County Final and a lot of the panel also playing in two All Ireland Finals but whether it was the early start or tiredness from the long year we never got going in the first half. The girls really improved to win the second half but we could not peg Newport back. Well done to Newport who are a fine team. We have played them four times this year with two wins each and in every game there was very little between the sides. The Club wishes to thank our panel for the wonderful effort put in this year. We also want to thank Kieran, Maeve, Martin and Noel for all the time they have put in with the girls throughout this year. Our u/13 team also has a County semi final coming up next weekend and we ask all the girls to keep up the good work in training for a few more weeks. Well done  to Maeve Moloney and her Burgess/Duharra  team who beat  Drom in the County Senior Camogie Final.

Junior B: Our County Final is to be played next weekend V Cahir in the Ragg. Date and time will be on the Website as soon as details are fixed. The girls have worked really hard all year and really deserve to be supported in the quest to bring home our first adult County Final. Anyone interested in sponsoring this team please contact a Committee member. We wish everyone the best of Luck. Get well soon to Louise Hickey who picked up an injury last weekend and we would like to thank all the first Aiders who were on hand to help treat her. Training times will be sent out by text.

Well done to Noel Coffey and his team of officials on doing a fine job in refereeing the County Senior Camogie Final last weekend.

Fund raising: Also to let parents know, we are having our flag day and Church gate collection on the 20th-21st of October and we also hope to have bag packing on 8-9 November. All help will be needed on these dates and please don’t be afraid to contact a committee member and let them know what times you will be available for. These are our biggest fundraisers during the year and with the Club being so successful in already winning two County Finals, competing in two All Ireland finals, having our first Adult County Final coming up and the possibility of a couple more Juvenile County Finals, you can see the Club needs all the help and funds that we can get.
