Camogie News: There has been a noticeable stepping up of activities as the championship season nears with a number of friendly games and the actual start of the Junior b championship. The junior b will find the season tough for them as this is a huge step up for such a young club. This team is work in progress and the team needs to be patient and also enjoy their improvement along the way. The weekend before last saw a defeat away to Portroe 2-4 to 1-0 and last Sunday we were up against a strong Silvermines side who eventually won 11-9 to 3-2. The season will be judged on the eventual collective improvement of the team as they prepare the club for the step up to senior Camogie. It was a raw display and the Team will need a lot of fine tuning to get them ready for the u 14 B championship which sees us drawn against Thurles Clonoulty and our old adversaries Holycross.
