Coach Education Pre-Season Workshop
Pre-season Hurling and Football Coaching Workshops designed for coaches, trainers and team managers – (i) Beginners (ii) Foundation (iii) Level 1+.
The programme is organised by the Games Development Unit to refresh coaching standards for the demanding season ahead and is recommended for all mentors interested in advancing their technical competence and awareness.
Comprehensive programme led by Master Tutor running over three modules – Wednesday 28th January (18.30), Saturday 21st February and Saturday 14th March.
Pre-Season Training – Mental FitnessThis course is designed to assist coaches, team managers and players to improve their own individual and their teams performances by applying mental fitness techniques. Early enrollment recommended. Duration: 10 weeks commencing Monday 26th January 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. Fee €60.00 payable in advance.

First Aid – CPR and AED Training
AED (Automated External Defibrillator) & CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Training.
Tutor: Jennifer Conroy, Occupational First Aid & AED Instructor.
This course is designed for people who wish to learn the lifesaving skills of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and to be able to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). You will learn how to deal with some life threatening conditions that may affect either your friends, family, team mates or a work colleague.
Duration: 5 weeks commencing Wednesday 28th January 07.30 to 9.30 p.m.
Fees: €65.00 payable in advance.

Registration for all Underage players will be held in Ballygarvan GAA Clubhouse on Tuesday 3 February from 7-9pm and for U6 and U8 players in Riverstick Hall on Saturday 7 February at 9:15am.

First Aid[ January 30, 2009; 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. ] Our pre-season programme continues with a talk on the fundamental techniques of First Aid with a particular emphasis on Sports Injuries.
A question and answer session will follow the talk and demonstrations.
All club coaches are welcome to attend.
