6 Step Summer Camp Guide

July 8, 2019

By Paul Madden

School holidays are almost in full flow for kids across the country so many sports club volunteers are busy preparing for and hosting summer camps to entertain kids and keep them active during the summer months.

Camps are increasingly popular amongst school kids and not just in sports as many different types of summer camps are now on offer. With this level of competition for participants, it’s important for sports clubs to be organised and they must now work harder to ensure that children choose their camp over the other options available.

That’s where Clubforce can help! With Clubforce you can make it easy for club members and other families in your community to register for summer camps online, your club makes it easier for the parent to select and pay for a camp at their own convenience.  All communication with parents before, during and after the camp can be done easily through the Clubforce mobile app, newsletter and SMS messaging.

The Clubforce App gives coaches and COVID officers the tools they need to run a summer camp safely this summer. Coaches can issue Covid-19 questionnaires daily, with the coach (or Covid officer) checking the info provided & verifying attendance using the attendance tracking feature. It will also be simple for COVID officers in clubs to report on the status of participants at any of the camps.

Once your camp is set up on Clubforce, all you have to do is share a link with members through social media and email and then monitor progress through the Clubforce admin panel and update parents on progress during the camp. By reducing the administration workload on club volunteers, more time can be made available to come up with new and interesting ways to make your camp unique and make it stand out from the competition.
